Episode 08: English Yoga Meet-up

Yoga… many of us have tried it. Some of us took to it, some of us did not, some of us still haven’t found the right class, teacher or setting. Yoga is usually sought after when we’ve gone through a rough time or when we’re in search for answers, peace or a sense of self. Yoga is not something that happens over night. It takes years of practice and dedication. What’s important about yoga is you find what works for you. Not everyone feels comfortable going to a class where you feel like it’s a activewear runway, many of us go because we need to relax and find stillness within ourselves.

In this week’s episode I chat with Solveig founder of English Yoga Meetup about her journey to yoga and how it wasn’t so straight forward. It wasn’t a love at first sight kinda thing. After years of deciding it wasn’t right for her, she found her way back to it, but in a way where she fell in love. We talk about why she started English Yoga Meetup and why it’s so important to find your tribe. She wanted to create a space where beginners could come and feel comfortable with their practice and not feel like they are doing it wrong. Yoga is about a personal practice.

Solveig and I also talk about her spiritual journey, knowing your inner self, human design, rituals and what she hopes to focus on in the future, tune in below.
