Season 2, Episode 12: Kirsty Smith, Hormones

Have you thought about your hormones and the importance of hormone health?

Your hormones are involved in every aspect of your health. When there is a hormone imbalance it may effect many parts of your body and can increase your risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and other health conditions.

Hormones also have a major impact on your menstrual cycle and when there is something off with our cycle this is an indication that your hormones levels are off. Our cycles so important they are now considered a fifth vital sign.

Many of us track our periods only to know when to expect it next, but it’s so much more than this. It’s important to track our entire cycle so we know how our bodies will respond or react each month. Our cycle is our emotional and energy schedule. Knowing more about your cycle and how your body works is truly powerful.

In this week’s episode I chat with Functional Medicine Coach, Kirsty Smith about the importance of our hormones and how the more we know about our individual cycle the more we know about our overall health.

Kirsty explains the importance of hormone health, tracking your entire cycle, myths about PMS and how to maintain healthy hormones. This episode is a must listen!
