Season 3, Episode 05: Sally Emslie, Manifesto Woman

If you’ve know me for awhile, you know I love fashion, but even more so secondhand fashion. Sally Emslie and I met back in London when we were both involved in Mother’s Meetings, meet-ups for mom entrepreneurs. At the time she was running Manifesto Kids, a secondhand online clothing shop for kids and I was running my kidswear brand, girlstalktoboys. We hit it straight off and shared a love for beautiful clothing and a good laugh.

Sally soon realised that running a secondhand kids wear shop was a lot more difficult than she had imagined and decided to venture into secondhand womenswear instead. This is when her business kicked off! Sally soon become the front runner in beautifully, curated secondhand clothing for women. She. took her insane sense of style and her desire to create something beautiful and viola Manifesto Woman was born.

This week I chat with Sally about taking the leap from her high paying corporate job to starting her own business, the importance of failure, the ups and downs of running her business and how she's realised that success to her is all about beauty and joy.

You will learn a lot and I highly recommend you give this episode a listen. And then afterwards go buy some beautiful pieces from her shop.
