I’m sure you’ve heard the word self-care spoken more times than not at the moment. Self-care or wellbeing wasn’t a big thing back in the day, but as we’ve progressed as humans and as a society, we’ve seen a decline in our mental states. It’s now proven that we must take care of not just our bodies but our minds and souls as well. They are all connected and when one is out of balance it can throw us off. The most popular self-care rituals or routines include meditation, yoga, exercise and healthy eating, but have you heard of reiki?
What is Reiki?
Reiki is form of Japanese energy healing, a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. (definition from Oxford dictionary)
I heard about reiki through a friend years ago back in London. I had a curiosity for it but never indulged myself. I forgot about it honestly until I started to deep dive into my own spiritual journey. As the universe does, it reminded me of my once curiosity. So I started my search for an English speaking reiki healer in Frankfurt. I found Clare from Reiki Blossom quite quickly and the rest is history. I had my first reiki session a few months back and all I can say is that I’ve seen massive benefits from my sessions. You can read all about my experience here.
